The Biennale Internazionale dell'Arte Contemporanea was an international cultural event, and an exhibition of huge proportions; which provided the opportunity for an exchange of experiences, and a forum where professional artists were able to meet other artists art critics, gallery representatives, art connoisseurs and the general public.

A year before the exhibition I received an invitation to exhibit in the Florence Biennale. I researched it thoroughly before deciding to go ahead. Apart from the paintings which took most of my time, I had unknowns to deal with such as framing, shipping and bookings for Florence. Eventually it all came together and when the shipping agent drove away with my paintings for crating and delivery to Heathrow, I knew it was going to be a good decision.

This blog is a written account of the two weeks I spent at the exhibition and my experiences of the Biennale.
